Types of gaskets we supply:

Spiral Wound Gaskets – suitable for fluctuations in pressure and temperature. They feature a metal sealing element filled with graphite, PTFE, ceramic fibers and, non-asbestos fibers (fillers).

The metal component of the spiral wound gasket provides strength to the seal, whereas the fillers enhance the gasket’s conformability and resilience. They are wound together under pressure to energize the sealing element to act like a spring when compressed between two flange faces.

Spiral wounds are available in a full range of styles and materials and are manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.20 for use in all industry flanges, including ASME/ANSI B16.5, ASME B 16.47, Series A & B.

  • Type 00: Spiral Wound Gasket without rings: they are used for tongue and groove, male and female flanges.
  • Type 01: Spiral Wound Gasket with inner ring: they are used for male and female or special flange types.
  • Type 10: Spiral Wound Gasket with outer ring: they are used for raised face flanges.
  • Type 101: Spiral Wound Gasket with inner and outer rings: they are used for raised face flanges.

A Ring Joint Gasket (RTJ) provides a strong and durable metal-to-metal seal between two mating RTJ flanges. As the flanges are tightened, the softer material of the ring joint gasket is “squeezed” into the flange grooves and seals the connection very tightly. RTJ gaskets are available in three styles, R (oval, octagonal), RX, and BX.

“R style” oval and octagonal RTJ gaskets can seal pressures up to 6.250 psi by ASME B16.20 and up to 5.000 psi according to the API 6A pressure ratings.

R-Oval

Style R ring joint gaskets are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A and ASME B16.20 size/ratings to suit API 6B and ASME/ANSI B16.5 flanges.

R-Octagonal

Style R octagonal ring joint gaskets are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A and ASME B16.20 size/ratings to suit API 6B and ASME/ANSI B16.5 flanges.

RX

Style RX ring joint gaskets are a pressure-energized adaptation of the standard Style R gasket. The RX is designed to fit the same groove design as a standard Style R, making the joints interchangeable.

BX

The BX type RTJ gaskets are manufactured in accordance with API 6A and are suitable for use in high-pressure API 6BX flanges and are designed for use on pressurized systems up to 20,000 PSI. When correctly fitted, the style BX gasket allows virtual surface-to-surface contact of the flange faces, which means that the gasket is fully sealed on both the inner and outer diameters.

Kammprofile Gaskets – suitable for use with less than perfect flanges

Kammprofile Gaskets are manufactured utilizing a precision machined serrated insert sealing element with V-like cut grooves designed to entrap a sealing compound to create many individual seals across the face of a flange.

Features & Benefits

Precision Engineered Gaskets – critical components for subsea and surface applications

Precision engineered gaskets and seals are critical components used in both subsea and surface applications.

SBX

Ring-type joints SBX are used on subsea assembly with flanges API 6BX, API 17SS, and API 17SV. They can seal up to 5,000 PSI, according to API 17D for 17SS flanges, and up to 10,000 PSI, according to API 17D for 17SV flanges.

SRX

Ring-type joints SRX are used on subsea assembly with flanges API 17D – offshore, type 17SS, and 17SV. They can seal up to 5,000 PSI, according to API 17D for 17SS flanges.

AX

Ring-type joints AX is used in H4 hydraulic connectors – subsea production equipment such as BOP or underwater Christmas tree.

VX

Ring-type joints VX are used in H4 hydraulic connectors – subsea production equipment such as BOP or underwater Christmas tree.

VX-HP (High Pressure)

Ring-type joints VX are used in H4 hydraulic connectors – subsea production equipment such as BOP or underwater Christmas tree. Manufactured to perform under deep water of up to 4,000 meters (13,000 feet) depth.
