    FIXED-PLANT MAINTENANCE & SHUTDOWN SUPPLY

The machined parts around your bolting, from one supplier

EMG already supplies the bolting for crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps and process plant across Australian mining. We now manage supply of the machined components around those joints — collars, sleeves, shafts, pins, wear rings and valve parts — through qualified machining partners.

That means one RFQ, one point of accountability and one documentation package for the studs, nuts and the drawing-controlled parts around them. Capacity, material, tolerances, inspection and lead time are confirmed against each drawing before quotation; EMG does not own the machining equipment and does not claim fixed capacity.

    WHERE WE SUPPLY

    Mining regions we serve

Supply is managed from Brisbane through qualified partners. These are service areas, not local EMG workshops — delivery route and timing are confirmed for your site per order.

    Bowen Basin & Mackay

Draglines, coal handling and preparation plants, wash plants and shovels around Mackay, Moranbah, Emerald and Dysart. Shutdown machining and replacement wear components to drawing.

    Pilbara & Goldfields

Iron ore and gold operations around Port Hedland, Karratha, Newman and Kalgoorlie. Crusher, screen, slurry pump and heavy fixed-plant components.

    Hunter Valley

Coal handling, preparation and rail load-out infrastructure in New South Wales, with planned and breakdown machining support.

    Olympic Dam & South Australia

Underground and processing infrastructure, plus mining operations across Victoria, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and Mount Isa.

    COMPONENTS WE SUPPLY

    Components for mining fixed plant

Every component is produced to your controlled drawing. Usable diameter, bore, length, weight, material, workholding and inspection scope are confirmed per RFQ — published machine-travel figures are not finished-part size guarantees.

    Collars, sleeves & rings

Large-diameter collars, shaft sleeves, bushes and spacer rings to controlled drawings, in carbon, alloy, stainless, duplex and wear-resistant steels.

    Pump components

Pump shafts, shaft sleeves and wear rings for slurry, dewatering and process pumps. Concentricity, runout and seal-surface requirements called up on the drawing govern.

    Valve components

Valve stems, trim, seats and manifold blocks to approved drawings, with pressure-boundary and inspection requirements identified at RFQ.

    Crusher & mill components

Pins, shafts, bushes, housings and wear components for crushers, screens, mills and conveyor drive equipment.

    Repair & reclamation

Re-machining, sleeving and modification of worn or damaged components where your engineering team approves repair over replacement.

    Wear plates & hard-facing

Wear plates and abrasion-resistant components in Bisalloy / Hardox-type steels, cut and machined to drawing.

    PLANNED AND URGENT WORK

From scheduled shutdowns to breakdown response

    Scheduled shutdowns

Planned outage machining with drawings reviewed, capacity confirmed and documentation agreed before the window opens — not during it.

    Planned OEM replacement

Drawing-controlled replacement parts for fixed plant. An equipment reference alone does not establish OEM equivalence; suitability needs your engineering approval.

    Urgent breakdown response

Breakdown machining enquiries are triaged through RapidBolt, EMG's emergency response division, with capacity, material and lead time confirmed before commitment.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Mining machining FAQs

Can you machine large-diameter collars and sleeves for mining?

    +
Yes — send the controlled drawing with OD, ID, length, approximate weight, fits, finish and any heat treatment. EMG confirms the machining partner route and usable size envelope against your drawing before quoting; published machine-travel figures are not finished-part size guarantees.

Do you support Bowen Basin, Pilbara and remote mining sites?

    +
EMG accepts RFQs from Mackay, Moranbah and the Bowen Basin, Mount Isa, the Pilbara and Goldfields, Hunter Valley, Olympic Dam and mining operations in every Australian state and territory. Supply is managed from Brisbane through qualified partners; these are service areas, not local EMG workshops, and delivery route and timing are confirmed per order.

What do you need to quote a pump shaft or wear ring?

    +
The drawing or model with revision, material and grade, dimensions with units, concentricity and runout callouts, seal and bearing surface finishes, quantity, site postcode and required date. Photos of a failed part help where no drawing exists.

Can you handle urgent breakdown machining?

    +
Urgent enquiries are triaged through RapidBolt, EMG's emergency response division. We confirm whether the part can be produced within your window — including material availability and inspection requirements — before committing to a date. No delivery time is promised before that review.

Are your machined parts OEM equivalent?

    +
Replacement parts are produced to your drawing and specification. An equipment make or model reference alone does not establish OEM equivalence; design suitability and any warranty implications require your engineering approval.
