Overview
A new client in Europe sent a sizeable fastener enquiry to six suppliers. The requirement covered A5-70 stainless steel hex cap screws, hex nuts and washers, with a firm delivery deadline. Energy Materials Group was the only supplier approached able to meet both the requested specification and the deadline, securing the order and delivering it on time.
Challenge
Specialist stainless fasteners are not always readily available in the volume a project needs. This enquiry required the exact A5-70 specification rather than an everyday stainless substitution, together with a delivery commitment the client could rely on. The buyer needed the complete screw, nut and washer package without compromising the required grade or schedule.
Solution
EMG worked with its supply partners to secure the specified fastener package and coordinate the order. Air freight was selected for this shipment to meet the client's deadline, and the goods arrived on time. The project demonstrates EMG's role in managing specialist supply through qualified partners when conventional stock availability is not enough.

Results
- Order awarded to EMG after the client approached six suppliers
- Requested A5-70 hex cap screws, hex nuts and washers supplied to the order specification
- Air-freighted shipment arrived within the client's deadline
- New European client relationship established, with further project requirements anticipated
Compliance & Documentation
A5 denotes a molybdenum-bearing, titanium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel group, often associated with 316Ti-type material. For applicable screws and bolts, property class 70 denotes a minimum tensile strength of 700 MPa under ISO 3506-1, subject to its scope and size requirements. Nuts have separate proof-load requirements under ISO 3506-2; washers are not assigned a bolt tensile-strength class by the A5-70 marking. Titanium stabilisation helps resist sensitisation-related intergranular corrosion; it is not a blanket guarantee of suitability for seawater, aggressive chemicals or elevated-temperature duty. These are material-reference explanations, not claims of specific certificates or testing for this order. Confirm the precise material, dimensions, applicable standards, service conditions and required inspection documents with each RFQ. This delivery outcome is project-specific, not a guaranteed lead time for future orders.
