Overview
A refinery turnaround project required A193 B8T stabilised stainless steel stud bolts for heat exchanger service. The B8T grade offers superior resistance to sensitisation and intergranular corrosion in elevated temperature service.
Challenge
B8T is a less common grade requiring stabilised 321 stainless steel. Sourcing certified material with full PMI verification and meeting the turnaround schedule required careful supplier coordination.
