Nitronic 50 is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel identified as UNS S20910. Supplied strength can vary with condition, so annealed and high-strength material should not be treated as one acceptance class.

EMG reviews Nitronic 50 requirements through qualified supply partners. Include the drawing revision, quantity, material condition and required site date so sourcing and documentation can be defined before an order is placed.

    RFQ CHECK

State the product standard, annealed or high-strength condition, section size and required properties before quoting a finished component.

Reference designations are not stock, certified equivalence or guaranteed service suitability. Final product requirements govern every quotation.

    WHERE THE SPECIFICATION MATTERS

    Engineered around the application

Water treatment plant and industrial water-handling equipment

    Pump shafts and valve assemblies

Drawing-led shafts, pins, stems and threaded components whose designer specifies S20910.

Socket head cap screws illustrating threaded-component applications

    Fastener assemblies

Studs, hex bolts and companion nuts in Nitronic 50 to the approved drawing. Confirm thread form, length, mating material and any coating requirements.

Duplex machined valve body illustrating valve-component geometry, not the featured alloy

    Parts to drawing

Shafts, sleeves, collars and valve parts supplied through qualified manufacturing partners. Fits, surface finish, treatment and usable capacity are confirmed per enquiry.

    ENGINEERING CHECKPOINTS

    Control the details that matter.

    01

    The product specification governs

State the product standard, annealed or high-strength condition, section size and required properties before quoting a finished component.

    02

    No automatic substitutions

Nitronic 50 is not Nitronic 60 (S21800). Corrosion and strength priorities differ from the anti-galling focus of Nitronic 60.

    03

    Verify the finished part

State the required chemical, mechanical, hardness and dimensional records. Request EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, PMI or witness inspection where the project requires them; the quotation must identify the agreed scope.
