    The right alloy.
    The right specification.

Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy used in selected marine and chemical equipment. Strength depends on the product form and supplied condition rather than a precipitation-hardening treatment like K-500.

EMG reviews Monel 400 requirements through qualified supply partners. Include the drawing revision, quantity, material condition and required site date so sourcing and documentation can be defined before an order is placed.

    Marine hardware · chemical-service components

    RFQ CHECK

Confirm product standard, annealed or cold-worked condition, required strength and compatibility with the actual fluid chemistry.

Reference designations are not stock, certified equivalence or guaranteed service suitability. Final product requirements govern every quotation.

    WHERE THE SPECIFICATION MATTERS

    Engineered around the application

Water treatment plant and industrial water-handling equipment

    Marine and fluid-handling equipment

Specified threaded hardware, pump parts and valve components in systems whose approved materials schedule calls for nickel-copper alloy 400.

Socket head cap screws illustrating threaded-component applications

    Fastener assemblies

Studs, hex bolts and companion nuts in Monel 400 to the approved drawing. Confirm thread form, length, mating material and any coating requirements.

Duplex machined valve body illustrating valve-component geometry, not the featured alloy

    Parts to drawing

Shafts, sleeves, collars and valve parts supplied through qualified manufacturing partners. Fits, surface finish, treatment and usable capacity are confirmed per enquiry.

    ENGINEERING CHECKPOINTS

    Control the details that matter.

    01

    The product specification governs

Confirm product standard, annealed or cold-worked condition, required strength and compatibility with the actual fluid chemistry.

    02

    No automatic substitutions

Monel 400 and Monel K-500 are different UNS alloys. A demand for higher strength does not authorise a substitution without engineering review.

    03

    Verify the finished part

State the required chemical, mechanical, hardness and dimensional records. Request EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, PMI or witness inspection where the project requires them; the quotation must identify the agreed scope.
