GRADE OVERVIEW
B8T stud bolts, specified correctly.
Titanium stabilisation in 321 reduces susceptibility to intergranular corrosion after exposure to sensitising conditions, which is why B8T is specified on some refinery and heat-exchanger services.
Specify Class 1 or Class 2 and confirm with your engineer that B8T meets the joint and service requirements.

Specify matched heavy hex nuts, through-hardened washers and any coating, such as Xylan/PTFE, so the kit is quoted as one traceable package.

Records & inspection
State EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, PMI, hardness or impact testing and any project ITP so certificates are confirmed before order.
