GRADE OVERVIEW
B8M Class 2 stud bolts, specified correctly.
B8M adds molybdenum for better pitting resistance than B8. Class 2 strain hardening raises strength, which is why it is widely specified for stainless flange bolting in coastal plants.
As with all Class 2 studs, minimum properties reduce with diameter. Specify the size range so the correct property band is quoted and certified.

Specify matched heavy hex nuts, through-hardened washers and any coating, such as Xylan/PTFE, so the kit is quoted as one traceable package.

Records & inspection
State EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, PMI, hardness or impact testing and any project ITP so certificates are confirmed before order.
